The Show Persian has a flat nose and exaggerated features, while the Traditional Persian, also called Doll face, has a normal nose. Both types have a thick, long, plush coat and round copper eyes.

The Persian is a sweet, gentle breed that is calm and mellow. It is not very playful and prefers to lounge on furniture around the house. This cat breed is therefore only moderately suitable to co-inhabit space with children and dogs.
