This cat breed was originated in Oregon in a farm the parents of this breed were adopted as farm cats to control mice and rodents. The mom was a Tabby cat with short hair she gave birth to five fur-coated kittens and one bald female who later also gave birth to five bald little kittens a few week after they born they developed a soft curly coat. The farm owners though this cat was really unique and rare and later on they work with a feline geneticist to create LaPerm Society of America in 1997.
