The Devon Rex (described as alien-like by some) is a medium-sized cat has very large ears and eyes with a unique coat. It is curly or wavy and comes in three hair layers: guard, awn and down. The guard coat is very light but also very wiry and coarse. The awn and down coats are dense and closer to the body.

The Devon Rex is a playful, friendly and outgoing cat breed. It likes human companionship and tries to snuggle up as much as it can. The Devon Rex is low-maintenance and doesn't require lots of attention or entertainment. This breed is happy to spend time on its own, but is always happy to be around their owners.
