Ear discharge is drainage of blood, ear wax, pus, or fluid from the ear. Dark waxy discharge from the ears can be cause by ear mites. Other symptoms associated with ear mites are: frequent shaking of the head, frequent itching or biting of the ears, fever, and lethargic behavior. Ear mites can be treated by an ear mite treatment, which can usually be bought in a store or at a veterinarian. Important is to clean the ears frequently.
