The Shelestie is the hybrid cross between a Shetland sheepdog and a West Highland terrier. Shelesties weigh between 15 and 25 pounds. They have pointy ears that stand upward. Shelestie coats are dense, coarse and straight, and the color choices include black and white, brown and white, gray merle and brindle. Their coats shed moderately, and regular grooming efforts are essential for keeping the coat tidy and free of mats.
