The Scotti apso is a hybrid cross between a Scottish terrier and a Lhasa apso. This small dog weighs between 15 and 22 pounds. The coat of a Scotti apso is medium in length, thick and straight, and it sheds moderately. The coat color choices include black, brown, brindle, gray and white. A moderate level of grooming effort is essential in keeping the coat neat and free of mats. Scotti apsos have ears that hang downward.

Scotti apsos do not bark excessively, and they do not require extensive exercise. These two qualities make the Scotti apso an ideal candidate for an apartment residence. Scotti apsos are generally affectionate and sweet, but they can be feisty. They are not ideal companions for young children.
