The small pootalian is a hybrid cross of a poodle and an Italian greyhound. Pootalians weigh between nine and 16 pounds, and they stand between nine and 15 inches tall at their shoulders. The short to medium coat tends to be wiry, sheds minimally and requires only occasional grooming for a neat presentation. Pootalian coats may be white, brown, gray, black or brindle. Their ears hang downward, and their tails are carried upward.
