The Kerry Wheaten dog is a hybrid mix between the Kerry Blue Terrier and the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. They are medium in size with either dense, medium or thin, silky coats. They take on a variety of colors, commonly blue, black, brown, gray, red, and white.

Behaviour and Personality
Kerry Wheaten dogs are very loving, affectionate, loyal dogs that tend to be very family oriented and protective of their people. Although gentle and patient with children, they do not mix well with other dogs or cats without socialization from puppyhood. These dogs tend to be headstrong and may be difficult to train, requiring a patient and consistent trainer. As high energy dogs, daily walks and lots of playtime are necessary to keep them happy.
