Jatese Build Information

The Jatese is a small hybrid dog resulting from the cross of the Japanese Chin with the Maltese. With facial features and characteristics of both parents, Jatese dogs may reach up to 11 inches in height and weigh between 7 and 15 pounds. Their long, smooth, silky coats are commonly white with patches of black or red, but may be any mixture of white, black, or tan.

Behaviour and Personality

Loving and dedicated to their owners, Jatese make good additions to the family. Playful and amusing, Jatese can be playmates for children, though they should be supervised as these dogs are quite fragile. They do have a tendency to be alert and noisy. Training is simple with gentle and reward-based routines. Although small, these dogs are active and need daily walks and indoor play.
