The Japug is a small hybrid dog created from the mixing of the Japanese Chin with the Pug. Generally with the facial features of a Pug, Japugs stand up to 14 inches and may weigh anywhere from 8 to 20 pounds. Their fine, smooth, glossy coats may be either black, tan, silver, or white color variations.

Behaviour and Personality
They are known for their friendly, loving, and docile natures and can be great additions to family as well as playmates for children. Very family oriented, they can be alert watchdogs and will warn their family of strangers. Training should be undertaken early and be firm and consistent as Japugs may show resistance and stubborn behavior. They are lively dogs and require moderate amounts of exercise, though owners should be careful as they are prone to over-heating.
