Eskland Build Information
The Eskland is the result of the mixing of the American Eskimo and the Shetland Sheepdog purebreds. They are small to medium in size, weighing anywhere from 15-35 pounds. They often have the double coat of the Shetland Sheepdog, with a rough, waterproof exterior and a fluffy, soft inner coat. Esklands come in many different colors, including blue, brown, gray, and white mixtures.
Behaviour and Personality
These dogs are lively, playful, and intelligent with an eagerness to please. They can be wonderful family pets, but should be socialized early for children and other pets. Esklands are very intelligent and learn quickly with gentle and positive reinforcement training. They are particularly skilled as watchdogs as they are wary of strangers. Exercise needs are moderate, Esklands enjoy daily walks and play with their owners.
