The Box-a-Shar was produced from a cross between the Boxer and the Chinese Shar Pei. The latter is particularly known for its deep facial wrinkles and blue-black tongue. Classified as a medium-sized dog, the Box-a-Shar typically weighs between around 45 to 65 pounds. Due to its Shar Pei heritage, some dogs may have any of their Chinese parent’s three coat types. Box-a-Shars make great watchdogs and family pets due to their alertness, intelligence, and gentle nature.
