The West of Argyll Terrier is a hybrid toy dog created from mixing the West Highland White Terrier with the Beagle. No more than 15 inches in height, these courageous little dogs have medium length, soft, dense undercoats with a rough outer coat and are commonly seen in white, black, shades of tan or brown.

Behaviour and Personality

They are independent, assured, and self confident dogs that can be trained as good watchdogs, despite their small size. West of Argyll Terriers are also very prone to barking. They are moderately intelligent, but can sometimes be stubborn, so it is best if training stays firm and consistent. These lively dogs are also very playful and should be provided with daily walks and opportunities for exercise.
