The Saarloos Wolfdog is a cross between the German Shepherd and the European Wolf. It is a large cross breed that weighs between 79 and 90 pounds and stands 24 to 29 inches tall when fully grown. It has a harsh coat of medium-length fur with a dense undercoat, and it has a moderately broad head that resembles that of a wolf.

Behaviour and Personality
Because of its European Wolf heritage, the Saarloos Wolfdog has an intense pack instinct and is very strong-willed. The owner of a Saarloos Wolfdog will need to be a strong and assertive leader to keep it well-behaved. It is recommended that owners have more than one Wolfdog to provide the dogs with a “pack.” The Saarloos Wolfdog will also require regular exercise and plenty of space to run and roam.
