French Pyrenean Pointer Build Information
French Setters, often known as French Spaniels, are happy, active and strong-willed dogs who are excellent hunters and known for being great gun dogs who do not fear the sounds of the hunt. At about 24” and 40-50 lbs., this dog needs to work, and will be happiest with an owner or family who will exercise them often and find them something to do in place of hunting. Their coats are long and silky, and the colors may be brown and white or solid brown; the most common is the combination of white with large brown patches and spots. Long ears require the owner to keep them clean and free from infection-causing bacteria.
