This dog is a cross between a Beagle and a Miniature Schnauzer, and is generally known for having soft ears like a Beagle, with the multi-colored coat of a Schnauzer. A smaller dog weighing only 7-15 lbs in adulthood, the Schneagle lives about 12-15 years, and has fur-covered floppy ears. Its entire body is covered with long, shaggy fur, which requires regular grooming.

It is very intelligent, very trainable, and because it is also an affectionate type of dog, it is ideal as a family pet. Schneagles do well with people and other dogs, so they are good socially.
