The Japeke dog is the hybrid mix between the Pekingese and Japanese Chin purebreds. These small dogs stand less than 11 inches and may have either the short, fine coat of the Chin or the long double coat of the Pekingese. They typically come in black, tan, red, and white color variations.

Behaviour and Personality
Japeke dogs are known for being cheerful, alert, and loyal little dogs that are very family oriented. Their attentiveness can make them good watch dogs and they will easily learn a many commands and tricks with firm and consistent training. They have a tendency towards Small Dog Syndrome and owners should make sure not to be tolerant of undesirable behaviors. Although active, the Japeke requires little more than daily walks to satisfy their exercise needs.
