The Old Sheepdog Deerhound is a cross between the Scottish Deerhound and the popular, instantly recognizable English Sheepdog. They combine the slender, almost Greyhound appearance of the deerhound with the size of the English sheepdog. As with any crossbreed, individual appearance can differ greatly, but they are frequently shaggy and often have a lot of hair on their face. They weigh between 80 and 100 pounds and stand 26-32 inches in height.

Like its parent breeds, the Sheepdog Deerhound is a very active animal, requiring a lot of room and space to run. They can make good watchdogs as well.
