Behaviour and Personality
The easiest way to describe a Chow Pei is a Shar Pei's unique facial appearance on a Chow Chow. A Chow Pei is less aggressive than a Chow Chow, but a hard worker that was originally bred as a farm dog. Chow Peis make great family dogs, but they do need firm training or they can grow unruly. Chow Peis adapt well to both urban and rural environments, provided they have enough exercise. As long as the dog and children have an understanding, they're also great around kids.
