The Bowzer traces its ancestry to the large, droopy-eared and droopy-eyed Basset Hound; and the small and sprightly Miniature Schnauzer. This particular dog breed is noted for its social and athletic qualities. Alert, intelligent, and loyal, the Bowzer can guard, hunt, jog, and track game, among other activities. As a result, it requires considerable exercise and access to the outdoors. Weighing between 45 to 70 pounds, the Bower has a dense, rough, and harsh coat that comes in any of a variety of colors.
