The third week of May is National Dog Bite Prevention Week. Aggression in dogs is a fairly common behavioral issue; Dog Bite Prevention Week serves to bring awareness to the severity of aggression and the importance of dog bite prevention. According to the AVMA, almost 5 million of people are bitten each year (Source: avma.org). Many of the bites that occur can be prevented.
