The Golden Sheltie is a medium dog made from mixing the Shetland Sheepdog (a.k.a. Sheltie) and the Golden Retriever. These dogs may have either a rough or wavy coat that comes in a variety of colors, including black, white, tan, golden, blue, sable, and any mixtures of these colors.

Behaviour and Personality
Golden Shelties are very friendly and energetic dogs that can make good additions to families. They can be very good with children if properly socialized, though they may show some herding behaviors. Highly intelligent, Golden Shelties are easy to train and learn quickly. Both physical and mental stimulation are necessary to keep these dogs happy and owners must provide plenty of play opportunities in addition to daily walks.
